It only took a few videos after he was drafted to see quite plainly that I was wrong, and so were the pundits. He skates just fine, and is a good player in his own right. He's a big power-forward who uses his size to drive the net, work his way inside and to win pucks. Best of all, he has an NHL-caliber shot, and according to his coach at UMass, he has an enormous drive to improve as a player in order to make the NHL. Stylistically, and stylistically only, he reminds me a poor man's Draisaitl- a very poor man's Draisaitl.

Would Jankowski be a comparable for Suniev then? Also played in an inferior league in his draft year but started to use his size in college and looked really promising. Also had an NHL-caliber shot. I know he didn’t reach the high ceiling many hoped for but would you consider them comparable prospects at the same age/development?
