The fact the Flames are desperate for a young C (or 3) to insert in the line up and he is literally just down the hall, does not need to clear waivers if sent back down, and is leading the A in scoring after 2 months of play, but remains where he is....tells you all you need to know about how the organization feels about him.

I don't think that's fair at all.
The player was certainly on the B or even C prospect list coming into the season. It looks like he's had a good off season, improved his fitness and play away from the puck, which I'm sure they've noticed.
But a reluctance to break up that momentum by promoting him too soon isn't proof of the organization being down on the player at all.
That's a huge leap.
