You want to use other players who Buffalo traded and they did well on other teams you could see the potential and for a few they realized it in Buffalo just had issues with the team.
Cozens sucks. He likely has peaked and is on a Lindholm trajectory but at least Lindholm wins faceoffs. Cozens even sucks at that.
We need a center but we aren’t desperate for other teams garbage that are locked up to long term big money deals.

All of this could have been said about Sam Bennett at one point in time. He was For a significant amount of his Flames tenure, not much more than a warm body on the ice.
