But trying to build flex-bathrooms or unisex with toilets instead of banks and banks of urinals is stupid. The urinal takes up much less space (therefore you can fit more urinals than toilets in the same space), expedites the bathroom process for men and allows the men to jump back into the beer line quicker, making money for the arena/owner.
I'm not even a big beer drinker at events (I always drive), but this to me just seems like common sense. It expedites the process. The best arenas and stadiums I've been to have mass-urinal access.

I think you're misunderstanding the flex bathrooms (or I am). My understanding is:
Taylor Swift concert? Throw a "Women" sign up on that particular bathroom.
Hockey game? Throw a "Men" sign on it. Yup, toilets only, but better than dead space of women's washrooms needed to have capacity for a subset of events.
