If I was going economic, I'd probably suggest Norquay. Nakiska is fine a few times a year but IMO it's a boring hill with not much variety if you're going to be going weekly. They also don't have any jumps and I don't know if they even set up their rails anymore. Norquay is not much further, has a great family vibe, has a park for the kids, and is cheaper for a family pass (at today's prices, not sure about summer early bird).

I skied Norquay for the first time last season.
What a stupid oversight - I loved it and it is soooo beautiful. Sadly, I won’t be back until April, by which time it will probably be winding down.
I loved it all, the views, the skiing, the soup in the lodge - just great!
