If I had to gamble on which player has a better chance to return closer to their career in the next couple of seasons, I would bet on Lindholm over Huberdeau (not that I would necessarily bet on either, but if I had to pick one).

The biggest issue with Lindholm is his compete level. There’s nights where he is totally disengaged and doesn’t look like he cares. He basically gave up at the end of his tenure here. Huberdeau still competes for the most part and has tried to evolve his game. Both contracts are bad as far as value is concerned.
