Yep, Stamkos has not been able to keep his legs. He still has that elite shot, but without a team that can work that in he's likely toast. He was mostly a PP merchant last year with the guys who knew exactly how to feed him. So a new crew has/had little to no chance of getting it to him where he needs it. That said MTL has been feeding Laine busters since he got back.
I mean
Marchessault is solid, but he's never been a pass first kinda guy with almost half of his career points coming from goals. Forsberg, their other star, is the same way. Last year he has 48 goals and 46 assists. They may need more goals, but they don't need more scorers.
Nashville is in a bit of a crisis right now and I'm not sure thatBarry Trotz knows what he's doing. If we can take advantage I think we should.
