And how is that playing out? The US falls further and further behind in the technology race to take on the challenges addressed through the accord. The US could have been a world leader, instead China is the leader and kicking the United States' ass in the marketplace for all new green technologies. That's how you become an also-ran nation.

Trump had nothing to do with the QUAD. That was all Japan and Abe's baby. Abe actually used the policy from the Obama administration to frame the restart of the QUAD in 2017.

How did that play out again? Didn't understand the agreement or what it did. Iran kick started their nuclear program again and have become the most influential player in the Middle East (good and bad). Obviously knew what he was doing. 5D chess playing there.

Emboldening all of them and giving them credence where they had little before. Trump only wanted to be accepted by the authoritarian "tough guy" set so he could flex like he was a tough guy. He doesn't understand these deals. He barely understood the businesses he bankrupted six times, but now he's going to be an expert on international affairs and diplomatic deals? Give your head a shake. All he's going to do is more damage to relations between our allies and hurt the American economy as it is forced into isolation.
