If you just want to use one monitor most monitors have multiple inputs, I just switch back and forth between inputs on my home monitor when I bring my work laptop home.

I have a keyboard that can pair with multiple systems too so I just switch the keyboard back and forth between systems with a button on the keyboard. Mice I use two different mice as I have my work mouse that I take with me with the laptop. So no switch is needed.

Otherwise yeah you'd need some kind of KVM switch.

Something like this: https://www.amazon.ca/Switch-Monitor.../dp/B0DBGY7XZR

I don't have any specific recommendation though, at work we use StarTech hubs and docks which have worked well for me but their dual monitor KVMs aren't cheap: https://www.startech.com/en-ca/serve...t/sv231dhu34k6

Another option is just a cheap physical HDMI switch, one for each cable, and then a USB switch for the USB devices. Lots of cables and buttons to switch but might be cheaper.
