Rossi is their 1C right now. Eriksson-Ek is out. But when he gets back they are still thin. Are they looking at trading Rossi but upgrading at C (Kadri or Backlund or maybe from another team?
Rossi is the kind of player that Conroy has targetted though. He's a pending RFA, but Calgary can sign him.
Minnies problem is they only have $350K in cap space despite their highest salary being $9M to Kaprizov. It's because they pay $14M in buyout to Suter and Parise (a problem which disappears for the most part after this season). They do have the ability to use LTIR with Zuccarello and Brodin though.
