What would be funny is if Ohtani gets on base, so they send in a pinch runner... Or Ohtani gets thrown out (on purpose), so he can be sent out again instead of being on base. Honestly it's a stupid rule.
Why not make it like basketball and create a two-pointer where there's a designated spot in every ballpark where a home run=two runs. Or if a pitcher strikes out the golden batter it counts as three outs!
Well run leagues don't need gimmicks such as these, instead why not create a competitive field where one player isn't making more than the entire roster on another team? Address that problem first, before overcomplicating the sport.
