I might value Kadri more than others since I think he is the perfect 2nd line C on a contending team (that doesn't have a SS 2C already).
I also think that his contract is very easily manageable. 4 years left after this one and only the last 2 years may not be pretty. His last year is very easy to buy out (especially with the rising cap) - so really we only have 3 years left and I expect him to play to a 7MM level next year or close.
Retaining 1MM even, I would expect a 1st or no go.
Significant retention (say 50%), I would expect 2 1sts in value.
Treliving can really F off as can the media that will start spewing messages about Flames owners putting a higher price for Treliving to get any of the Flames players. Treliving hasn't come close to meeting any asks and with lowball offers like that, his final offers can go in the trash if it's just finally 'in' the ball park but not above.
