Do whatever you want, but clinging to the moral high ground based on consistency is only eventually getting them rolled over. It's kinda like the saying about knowing the rules of of the road cycling... "Ya, you may have been right and within the law, but you are also dead." Sometimes you have to recognize no one else is following the rules, either, so if you want to live you better work with what is going on around you. And that is that rules and norms don't apply anymore. Trump has broken them all with the only consequences being he gets 4 more years of power.
