Nothing good can be spun about what just happened at all. I don't fault him for doing it but there is really no moral high ground or equivalency. In a lot of countries the children of leaders get a long runway for crooked things, the idea is that in America everybody should be held to the same standards. |
Trump already went down that road. Trump has never been held to the standards expected, hell, he won't even sign the ethics pledge he brought in.
And because Trump seems to not have to worry about rules, norms etc, Biden would be leaving his son open to having the rest of his life ruined because laws and norms don't apply anymore. Accept it, America is deeply broken, and pretending the system will function as designed is no longer a reality. Being angry that Biden is the one who's broken it is just giving Trump and team what they want. Don't.
