It’s not the losing. It’s how they lose.
That, and watching Kadri and Huby piss their careers away in exchange for a guaranteed paycheck. When they close the book, these years will probably over shadow their other achievements.
One gets a ring, the other a record, followed by 7-8 years of being bottom tier players. Do people care about that?
