I only play franchise mode though, so things like game speed and how they set things up as default don't really impact me at all.
Like:
- I think you can shoot at loose pucks in the crease without automatically taking an interference penalty
- The CPU teammates seem to go for the puck a bit more
- I have this bad habit of hitting the player-select button (which is the same as the pass button) to fix the previous issue, which often results in a player going for an errant puck and then launching a pass to nothing... that seems to be not happening in this one
- The stats that show in the menu before a game are pretty sweet.
- The menu is MUCH better organized (in franchise mode at least)
- You can turn morale off praise Jesus
- I quite like the new replay cameras
- The return of the score clock is much appreciated
- The return of the shot fake on R3 is almost worth the whole game purchase for me
Dislike:
- The weird arcade goal celebrations and hits where the lights turn down drive me bonkers
- I'd love a way to adjust how many or how few replays you get. I'm weird and would like one every break (whereas most just want to get back to playing). The non-goal replay occurrence seems the same as last year, where it's really only for massive hits. I want saves.
- I like the concept of the grudge match but I wish I didn't have to listen to the commentary to get it

Couple of updates after some time:
The weird arcade goal celebrations seem to have been removed in an update. They still do the weird celebration, but it doesn't dim the stadium lights and zoom in on them doing some insane Fortnite dance. I'll take it.
I turned off the commentary as I found the colour commentary too much. You'd be cycling it around the zone with 30 seconds left looking to tie it and Pounder is going off about proper body position in the neutral zone. Turns out turning it off doesn't really matter for the Grudge Matches because it still shows the stats on screen.
