Yes, but the idea is that he won't actually put these tariffs in. The initial reactions to the tweet have blown over on CAD and the stock market. The market clearly doesn't think he will implement the extremes but we will have to see what he does once he is in power. If he does then the market will selloff.

I agree... but he MIGHT. That's always the thing with Trump. Trump's unpredictability, or the threat of being unpredictable, is unique among politicians and he weaponizes it.
