If the team slides they can pivot and move assets as they see fit.
If they don't falter they can reassess Anderson and his contract in the summer.

Placing Too MUCH value on the human element of hockey keeps us trapped in mediocrity. I think there's a middle ground somewhere, but IMO vegas has already proven without a doubt that the successful ground is closer to placing 0 value than it is on placing most value there.
