He's a one dimensional player that isn't even particularly great at that one dimension. And the way he's quitting on his team would be concerning.
I think even if you can get him for a low price (which I doubt is the case, Verbeek is trying to extract value) then I think you have to think hard about whether you want him in your room and around young players.

Also very little team control the way his contract is. He needs a large qualifying offer after next season, can accept it, then walk away as a UFA the following year. Any team trading for him is likely just trading for 2 years of service and the right to overpay him for the time.
