I think moving any roster player currently is going to be a tough decision for connie.

I think there are guys that Connie brought in with the intention of getting them ice time and minutes to sell off. Those guys are bean, barrie, kuzmenko and mantha. But his more likely move at this point is to start weaponizing the cap space the team has as none of them have really done much to improve their value (imo). Maybe someone like Pelletier or Poirier.. (a team with poirier, parekh, and Brzustewicz making the team in the next couple years seems like a team with too many offensive defensemen).

Anderson could get a lot in return for sure, but not only would it decimate the defense, it would hurt the morale of the team by trading him (arguably their best player this year) away for assets that don't make an impact now, when the team is performing well.

I get it, christmas is coming, we all want shiny new toys - but ... if we get one, I doubt we move Anderson, or really any roster player making an impact right now.
I 100% agree if flames are in playoff spot at deadline they won’t consider trading Anderson. That said there is a lot of hockey to be played. As well as the flames have played so far , they are only 4 points away from being on the outside looking in. If the flames aren’t in playoff spot they have to trade Anderson this year for the best return. If they go into next year and don’t agree on an extension they are looking at a hanifin type return.
