It's still a good strategy. But it's not to pressure Trump directly. It's to pressure vulnerable Republican congressmen and Senators to reign him in.

I mean for a government that basically moves backwards most times, they sure are quick to jump on dealing with this.
It would be absolutely hilarious if Trump becomes such an enemy that Trudeau starts looking good to Canadians again and PP gets left on the sidelines.
