They guy just compared meeting him to meeting other celebrities... It's not like he claimed Biz was some globally iconic megastar.
Besides, celebrity is mostly an individual notion. Someone who really loves chess might consider <insert famous chess player's name> to be a celebrity. Who are you (or anyone else) to tell them differently?
Biz is very much a celebrity to me and many other people. In fact, I would be far more excited to meet him than I would be to meet most movie stars.
Edit: Also, I'm a little blown away that you think only 0.1% of Americans know who he is. Not only does he sit opposite Wayne Gretzky on a nationally televised sports event every week in the US on a major network, he's also a founding member of a weekly YouTube broadcast that racks up hundreds of thousands of views each episode. He's not exactly Stephen A. Smith, but give the guy at least a little credit lol.
