Higher price=lower volitility

The issue becomes if they can't raise funds to "buy more" and the price is lower then the debt they issued and/or (both really as they are mostly convertible notes) they cant service the debt long term / raise more funds.
Then they go bankrupt / have to start flooding the market with BTC to service the debt causing lower prices cause them to have to sell more, etc.
Debt fueling BTC purchasing is exactly the sort of thing that can cause a catastrophic crash in the price.
Now MS is targeting institutional investors and by offering convertible notes to their stock/shares it may mitigate this as long as the long term confidence in BTC holds. There would be a point where a low enough share price (driven by BTC falling prices) effectively meant that no one holding convertible notes converted to shares and instead took the redemption price.
Lots of good info here - But since these notes have first priority/claim it would be all the other shareholders who get screwed / get nothing if MS share price plummets and they have to liquidate their BTC
