I watched a great 90s thriller Breakdown with Kurt Russell. Basic story is a couple who are moving across the country there car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Kurt Russell's wife gets a ride to a diner a couple miles down the road while Kurt Russell tries to fix the car. I remember watching this with my dad, who drove logging trucks, and it's the only movie featuring truck stunts that he didn't completely pick apart. All the stunts they did with the semi were completely realistic and impressive to a grizzled old truck driver. The complete opposite happened when we watched Black Dog, another truck action movie with Patrick Swayze and Meatloaf. He was ripping that thing apart the entire time, it was like the trucker version of Mystery Science Theater 3000
