Any time he’s within 3 feet of an opposing player it’s a loss of possession, which is killing the PP, he can’t get to dangerous areas, and his touch for passing into the dangerous areas had evaporated.

You are not watching the PP. He doesn't get the touches he should be getting - it's been a constant problem. They play him net front half of the time. Now, you are dead wrong about his board work - he wins most of his puck battles. And his passes usually connect. But to stationary players.
His mistakes or losses in one on one plays get magnified a lot on here. Dude makes three passes to teammates who do nothing, then one of his passes gets deflected by a good stick and they keyboard warriors pounce "another giveaway". Meanwhile, the stats say he is 8th on the team in giveaways, way behind the D and behind Backlund, Coleman, Zary, ond only one more than Kadri, Pospisil and Kuzmeko. He gives the puck away no more often than any other guy on the power play. And less than a bunch of others.
