Yeah, if you think about the speed hockey players are moving when they execute, it’s pretty impressive. Their speed bursts are in the 22-24 mile per hour range, which is the same ballpark as the average speed of a 100m Olympic sprinter

And as you mention, they are moving this speed AND controlling the puck

Throw a stick in Usain Bolt’s hands and he would lose a lot of speed, even without a ball or puck

No other sport comes close to the pace of play
