I think I would claim Kasperi Kapanen and finally put an end to the Wahlstrom era. At the very least Kapanen replaces Fasching or maybe Martin but I doubt that.

Ugh the Flames are wearing those ugly black uniforms. Their home red with the traditional white flaming C is one of my favorite non Islanders uniforms and I don't even get to see them. Why does it seem like every team has to have a black 3rd jersey?

I cannot look at these uniforms without feeling like we are playing the Canucks of yore...

Wow, Bruins just fired Montgomery. That is crazy considering he was 120-41-23 for them. Obviously a lack of playoff success but still.

The reason Mayfield's plus minus is so good, is because he takes the stupid penalties that we get scored upon. So he's not on the ice for the goals. He's just responsible for them. Fruck'n idiot.

It’s not the amount of losses it’s moreso how and why they’re losing that’s the concerning part. We have some of the worst goaltending in the league, subpar defence, and aside from Leon and Connor our next top 3 goal scores are defence-men… oh and close to the worst penalty kill and power play in the league at the moment

Two straight games dumb plays at the back blow a lead. Want to blame Skinner, fine, but the goalie isn’t there just to cover for bad defense.

They are dead last in NHL shooting % after being 9th best last year and 1st in 22-23.

Figure that one out.

Pacific division is really weak. Nobody wants first place. What a turtle derby. Gonna probably be up for grabs all season. Nobody gonna claim it outright.

Including the playoffs last year the Oilers were shut out 4 times.

We're already at 3 and would be at 4 if not for a late meaningless goal in Columbus.

Every week I keep saying the same thing about my fantasy football team, I have multiple top 10 guys at every position, and every week something comically goes wrong. At some point (like now) one just has to accept it’s one of those years. Not at that point with the Oilers yet, but 25% of the schedule being completed isn’t insignificant. Another 10 games of this puts me in real worry mode.
