It is perfectly legal to play a game you own on an emulator. I’m not going to suggest that’s what most people are doing but I enjoy having that choice. I do play games I’ve pirated but usually because I can no longer purchase them, which Nintendo is bad for.
I love supporting game devs. I’ve bought my favourites on multiple platforms. I’ve gifted games like Stardew Valley to people because it’s so good and want to reward ConcernedApe for it. Nintendo is actually losing out by not porting games.
Sony putting its games on Steam
is different than playing them on an emulator. But my point is Nintendo doesn’t do the former so I’m going to do the latter, with no hesitation because I’m not hurting them.
