I wonder if Conny kind of balked at Pops being in a deal during the summer given all the success he had with the Flames and then the world's etc. I also wonder if he's softened his stance and that's why talks are ongoing and more frequently than normal with Buffalo.

I also assume that Adams has wandered into asking for other forwards given Pops season so far.

I'd add up to a 2nd round pick to lubricate the trade. Obviously there's some nibbling at the bait there for both teams. Just have to figure out the additions to get either team to bite.

Cozens and Byram on the Flames kind of balances out the roster composition.

IMO, the team probably wants 3 d pairing of lefty/righty instead of lefty/righty, righty/righty, lefty/righty.

Weegar takes Razzs spot. Byram takes Weegar slot on the 2nd pairing (making fans nervous of a Miromanov/Byram paring) and then Pachal and the 6/7 LD rotation.
