Who says no? Gut says Sabres but they get a chance to rejuvenate Huberdeau with Thompson, get Rasmus and lose what is currently not a sure thing in Cozens. Risk is obviously the huberdeau contract for them.
For us, obviously not a great return if we're trading Rasmus and replace a pretty bad contract for currently a pretty bad contract that could improve. But we get out of Huberdeaus contract.
In my head I don't think it's crazy one sided but I suspect I'm underestimating just how bad Huberdeau's contract is...

Buffalo hangs up, no one is taking Huberdeau's contract.
Don't like Cozens, don't trade for him. But Buffalo is not treating him like Huberdeau.
Huberdeau's contract is the worse in the league. He's no longer trending to be a 50 point player, he's now in the middle 40's even after a very hot start. if they remove him from the PP1, he might be in the high 20's-low 30's.
