I love when right-wing talking heads go on about "Big Pharma," as if the conservative movement in the U.S. didn't contribute to the big bad pharmaceutical industry they made it to be. Republicans either created and/or enabled patent protections and copyrights on drugs, limited price regulations that pharma companies should follow, gave them tax breaks and subsidies, hamstrung the FDA in drug approvals to get drugs faster to market, allowed them to lobby the #### out of Republicans over the decades, and pushed privatized healthcare which gives them greater leverage to set higher prices through private insurance.
So before conservatives get all bent out of shape about "Big Pharma", lets remember who trained the beast before they demonizing their own creation.
