I do think it's important for the west and for America to send a serious message that needs to be delivered. Far too much has been weak from the west/NATO/ US perspective.
I recall a piece I saw on Putin from a top Putin/Russia specialists where she described what reports she had on 2014 Crimea/Syria and Obama's famous redline. Obama ended up doing jack **** in that regard and this Putin specialist (Julia Ioffe) said something that strick. His weakness confirmed what Putin already thought about Obama and that he was a stupid, weak, black man who could be manipulated. (Her words, not mine)
During this entire war with Ukraine, Biden has come off as very careful, weak, scared and fearful in a lot of ways. Some of it may be justified but some of it may be that he is also just old, weak, not 100% there and pre-occupied with other things as well.
Hopefully he shows the full force of American power that he can in the next 2 months and doesn't come off as just an old, weak senile man in Putin's eyes
