Conroy figured out the goalie problem the same way Treliving solved the elite winger problem, finally just put the talented kid your predecessor drafted in the lineup. It’s a pretty common sense move.
I still think at this point, organizationally, there isn’t much more they could be doing to tank this year. Millions in unspent cap, committing to a goalie tandem with little experience, giving your worst players premium minutes on both the PP and the PK. The Flames are going to need more talent than what they get from drafting 28th this year if they want to properly surround Wolf (if he keeps being this good).
Carey Price got a whole lot of #### all done in his career because Montreal couldn’t figure out how to actually make a team around him. I would like the talent on this team to get a fair shot at playoff glory and not be continuously handicapped by not having enough talent around.
