I get that he's an oiler and E=NG, but 1000 is a huge accomplishment for any player regardless of the team they play for. I remember Iggy had a countdown going on CP before he hit 1000 and fair to say that anyone who would have posted what you said about McD about Iggy, you'd have been slapped out of here so fast
. Guaranteed if McD played for any other team he'd get a lot more respect around here. Like it or not he's one of the best ever, has the hardware to prove it, and if we are to honor a player's legacy with them making a SCF like we do Iggy, McD get's the same treatment.
I feel gross sticking up for the guy, but 4th fastest ever to do so which is pretty amazing. Just absolutely blows he plays for Edmonton so no one on this side of Alberta will ever truly appreciate it.
