IMO, you don't know what you have with a defenseman until they are 24 (with rare exceptions of course). He has all the tools and plenty of talent, so if CBJ was willing to let him go at a reasonable price, you have to be all over it.
The question is price. I think Harry Lime's offer is close, probably takes a little more.
