Nevermind that at 5v5 he has the most offensive zone starts of all forwards not named Sam Honzek.
Ignore that he has as many even strength points as Justin Kirkland even though Kirkland starts the majority of his shifts in the defensive zone and Huberdeau starts the majority of his in the offensive zone. (while riding a sky high 30% shooting percentage, sustainable I think!)"
I mean that's just an oddly biased viewed.

Huberdeau is tied for the team lead among forwards in 5 on 5 and even strength scoring at 7. Who cares if he is tied with Kirkland? Kirkland also has a 19.57% on is SH% in those situations which is by far the highest on the team.

xGF is just one stat - one in which high skill players consistently outperform. That also doesn't take into account that Huberdeau is playing far more responsible hockey than Kadri is and as a result has a considerably better SCF% and HDCF% rates than Kadri. Both those two have the same amount of offensive zone starts at 45.

Additionally Huberdeau has played almost exclusively with two (and now three) centers who have never played the position full time. Let's not pretend like he has had some cushy offensive role on the team.
