Being brought up is not a disappointment. Not only does it provide a nice financial bonus, but it tells the player that the team sees them, sees how they're playing, and values them.
Obviously, they would prefer to get in the lineup, but getting to hang, and practice with the team for a few days, is infinitely better than not getting called up.
