Not a hard lefty, but yes, each of those issues prevented people from voting for Harris. If you don't understand that racism and adherence to the structure of the patriarchy are core to the traditional American way of life, you know nothing about culture in the United States. Those very messages were how inroads were made in the Black and Hispanic communities, and why evangelicals and Christians lineup behind certain candidates.
You may find this very hard to believe, but both Black and Hispanic communities are very racist in their own way. Once they achieve any level of status they adopt a high degree of self-loathing toward their own people and work to keep those other people down. Hispanics who have become naturalized are some of the most hardcore supporters of immigration control at the borders. They look down their nose at anyone who is undocumented and want them sent back. It is such strange behavior when they themselves came to the country in the same fashion, but managed to find a path to stay here out of nothing but pure luck or timing.

It's the hollow promises he made around economy and immigration and his influencer peers making him synonymous with the anti-establishment and anti-wef movements, but that shouldn't have to be spelled out for any one with eyes and ears.

Ah, okay. So you're saying he preyed on the stupid and ignorant rather than leverage the cultural fabric of middle America? I guess that would make sense considering all the conspiracy theories they believe in. And god knows, you'd rather be stupid than be racist or misogynistic. I think there is a combination of both. I think you're pretty stupid if you are racist and misogynistic and Trump leaned into all of above to gain votes.

If you've ever sat down with indoctrinated Trump supporters to really try to grasp their mindset you'll rarely hear anything along the lines of "#### x-marginalized group". Their entire mindset is about saving the country and is as much based in fear as those on the left who believe he represents the end to democracy.

I'm dying to hear about your experience in sitting down with indoctrinated Trump supporters. Do you sit down with them daily? Please share your experiences! Let me tell you some of my experience with those folks, many of which I engage with multiple times a week and am in their circle of friends. They are "nice" people, but you have to accept them for who they are. Here are some of their greatest and most regular hits.
We have a lone black member in our golf club. They refer to him as "one of the good ones" when he's not around. When he brings a guest with him, many comment about the place starting to "look like a ghetto" or "it's getting rather dark around here." Not racist in any shape or form.
Our neighborhood is pretty much maintained by Hispanics, many of which do not speak English. If you want to speak to someone without engaging them in Spanish you have to speak to the foreman. I've heard those young men berated for not speaking American and being told to get their asses across the border where they belong. The landscaping companies are not referred to by their chosen name, but instead as "The Wetback" for one, "The Beaner Boys" for another, or the "The Greasers" for a third. It is appalling and I correct them every time. They view these hardworking people as subhuman and treat them that way.
My wife still works and loves what she does. I am continually asked why I "allow" my wife to work, and why I don't wear the pants in the family? I've heard the same thing said to other people in similar situations. The only one who doesn't have to listen to that crap is a guy who is retired and is being supported by his much younger wife who works for one of the local District Attorney Offices. He gets by because he's a "kept man". We recently had one of on-course beverage service attendants (cart girls, or cart tarts as they like to call them) start in the shop behind the counter. Complaints were immediately made because only men can be professionals and should be behind the counter. Not misogynistic.
I could go on and on about the stupid #### they say on pretty much every topic, and the stupid #### they believe when facts counter those beliefs. Trumpers are unique individuals and something you should only take in small doses. They are very "nice" people, but I don't find them to be overly bright, not kind, and very regimented in how they approach everything. The man makes the decisions, the woman should serve the man, and the white is always right.
The things you have to put up with to play golf.
