The fact is that they either are ambivalent about his openly racist and misogynistic positions and behavior, making them amoral, or they are very comfortable with it and don't see anything particularly troubling with it, making them immoral. Or they're just ####ing racist and misogynistic, you know, a deplorable human being.

There's no way that anyone could not be keenly aware of who and what Trump is at this point, and to suggest otherwise is pure intellectual dishonesty.

And yes, my neighbors down the street are big Trump supporters. They fall into category "A" of being ambivalent to his racism. I've traveled this state and met some pure evil ####heads who are all in on the white supremacy. They would fall into the latter category of deplorable. They are all fully aware of who he is.
My bad confirmation bias !

It sounds like you are describing a group that acknowledges and respects the significant progress made in areas like racial and gender equality over the past several decades and maintains a more traditional or rigorous standard for what constitutes being labeled a “racist” or “misogynist.” This perspective suggests a focus on maintaining clarity and severity in applying such terms, rather than broadening or lowering the threshold for their use.

This approach might be rooted in the belief that labeling should be reserved for truly egregious acts or ideologies and that diluting these terms risks undermining their gravity and importance in identifying genuine discrimination or hatred.

Keep on normalizing! Enjoy your evening.
