Backlund should be going behind the net there, he was anticipating Andersson to play it around the boards to him into the corner and up the right wing wall.
He was giving Andersson an outlet.
No reason for Backlund to be staying with Marchand when Flames had possession.
That's 100% on Andersson over handling the puck and not playing it up the boards sooner.
