I know fans like to hang everything on Treliving now that he’s gone. But these big strategic decisions are made collectively. It was a comment from when he was discussing Gaudreau walking for free and how he would have handled it differently. I definitely read into it a bit but I have a hard time believing that Kadri, Huberdeau, and Weegar would be on the Flames when combined with his statement on fair contracts for age appropriate players.
