Bean mentioned it in one of the pressers as well. He said they had a "rebuilding" type of offer on the table for Tkachuk, and that quite frankly they would have taken it. Since Bean was the one who spoke on behalf of the owners, I think it was Treliving who made the choice of going with the results-now offer and not one that might take more time to pan out. But of course, Treliving was probably already planning an exit strategy and wanted instant results rather than setting someone else up in the future.
