The GOP is backed by arguably the largest misinformation campaign the world has seen, with Elon Musk purchasing Twitter and making it even stronger in the past year. It's crazy how powerful this warfare is and really the biggest reason why Trump won.

Agreed social media is a huge factor, but I am not sure that the majority don't realize it's misinformation and they want to believe what they're reading..There is a significant part of the population that freaks out at the littlest things, a fictional white character being played by a minority actor, a woman doing commentary for sports, etc..When you have that kind of a population I think they want to believe what they're seeing on social media
