Well errors are a thing where timing affects the stat more than anything. Making one error with 2 out and men on base will likely kill you more than making 2 errors in different innings with 1 out and no one on base. Although over the course of a 162 game season I'd expect the number of errors vs the number of unearned runs to start co-relating to each other. At game 77 not as much. Although it is an interesting stat, and the type of quirky thing that has always drawn my interest to the game of baseball.
