This game really illustrates how hard it is to actually tank.
The Flames are near the salary floor, have no top line, are playing a rookie goalie, and have a very lackluster 3-7 d-man situation going on.
Meanwhile the Habs are spending to the cap, have been rebuilding and trying to win for close to a decade. Yet the Habs can't help but lose.
I want the Flames to get a great draft pick, but also want them to avoid the Montreal/Buffalo/Detroit/etc... spirals of loserness, where the teams are losing for so long they forget how to win and eventually have to start selling off their tank draft picks as they reach UFA status.
