His style of having a few simple policies and repeating them over and over may be what is needed to beat a guy like Trump. It doesn't really seem to matter if it they are impractical to implement or have unintended consequences.

I think his dedication to unwaveringly fighting for what he believes in would have appealed to a lot of voters. Most democrats just seem like they are too scared to say anything that they think will be considered a departure from their status quo.
