I think NYU Prof Scott Galloway said it best - there have been societal changes that have disadvantaged young men, such as the lack of male role models and societal structures that fail to support them.

And young male (non university educated ) are seeing their traditional job markets disappearing and democrats don’t seem to recognize / care / communicate with them well enough
