Bastian went after Lomberg which is where the instigator comes from. Both guys were going at it and Lomberg just got the better of Bastian. It doesn't matter if he got his gloves off quicker.
And unless he drops him he's not going to stop throwing shots either. Any player in a fight is going to keep throwing shots until it gets broken up if the other guy is still standing.
