[Terradude]

The smell of rotting elephant in the middle of a hot day. I’ve been out on safari in Zimbabwe and it’s been very dry, taking a toll on the old and young elephants. They often die near the waterholes but most scavengers can’t get to them until they’re good and ripe. OMG the smell when the wind shifts…unbearable. My heart breaks for the poor elephants too, but in the end, they don’t go to waste - the lions are fat and the vultures numerous.
