Cowperson, to be fair, most "smart" wrestling fans (or "smarks" as per the industry term) know that the WWE can't, and isn't, taken seriously as a place for good wrestling.

I'm a fan of the product, not the show. I and many others that are subject to WWE programming are far bigger fans of Ring of Honor, New Japan, All Japan, NOAH, Zero-One, CMLL, AAA, and to some extent, TNA. The problem is that unless you order specialty channels, you're not going to get these shows on a regular basis.

The WWE has it's share of decent talent, but they are few and far between. In addition, most smarks just look beyond the crappy storylines and the soap opera dramatics and try to pay attention to REALLY GOOD wrestling matches, which the WWE is capable of. For example, John Cena and Shawn Michaels had an epic one-hour classic back in April which is definitely a match-of-the-year contender by industry standards.

Believe it or not, the Chris Benoit tribute show on Monday had an old NJPW G1 Climax Tournament Final between Pegasus Kid (Chris Benoit) and Jyushin Liger, two of the best in the business. If you or anyone got a didn't get a chance to watch that, I highly suggest you find it on Youtube or elsewhere, as wrestling is far more an art, sport, and serious institution than some people give it credit for. Anyone who has watched, or even been to a Japanese, Mexican, or Indy wrestling event should know this.
